Smear Paintings

This is an anomalous series. Anomalous because these are finger paintings that I created and then photographed, an early example of the medium I call, “Captured Collage, Mixed Media in 2D.” The multidimensional effect was captured in real time using natural light. "Undulating on the cosmic highway" was exhibited in 2012 at the Gallery 601 solo exhibition. "Lust and the unraveling of logic" was a nominee in the abstract category of the 2011 5th Annual Photography Masters Cup. "Gale force" was exhibited in 2011 at the juried, Summer Members' Show, "Windswept" conducted by the Copley Society of Art. "Undulating on the cosmic highway" was exhibited in 2010 at the juried, Summer Members' Show, "Wanderlust" conducted by the Copley Society of Art; the piece also received an honorable mention at the International Photo Awards 2010 competition.
