“Levitating jello 3” from the “Cosmic dreams” series on display in the juried show, “Inspired by the Modernists” at the Copley Society of Art gallery, Newbury street, Boston from June 29th to August 22nd, 2013. Reception on June 29th.

“Levitating jello 3” from the “Cosmic dreams” series was admitted to the juried Summer Members’ Show: Inspired by the Modernists conducted by the Copley Society of Art (Co | So), and juried by Judith Tolnick Champa, Editor-in-Chief of Art New England. This show is part of Co | So’s ongoing celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Armory Show. Co | So artists were asked to submit pieces that point to the style of artists who exhibited during the Armory Show’s stop in Boston at the Copley Society in 1913. My inspiration was Cubism, specifically the work of Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, and Patrick Henry Bruce.

The show runs from June 29th till August 22nd, 2013 at the Copley Society of Art gallery, 158 Newbury Street in Boston. Please check the Co | So website for gallery timings. The opening reception is on June 29th from 3.30 – 5.30 pm.
